This panel will explore the medical harms faced by individuals seeking gender-affirming care. What are the real-life consequences of medicalization? What are the most effective and compassionate treatment pathways for people with gender dysphoria? How can we encourage informed dialogue that prioritizes patient well-being and ethical medical practices?
Speakers: Dr. Jay Richards (moderator), Patrick Hunter, M.D. (Florida), pediatrician, Patrick Lappert (Alabama), plastic surgeon, Eithan Haim (Texas), general surgeon, and detransitioner, Kevin Jones
Detransitioners in Their Own Words

Speakers: Patrick Hunter M.D (moderator), Laura Becker, Soren Aldaco, Kevin Jones, and Forrest Smith
A Role for Litigation?
What role does litigation play in navigating the debate surrounding gender-affirming care? How can the legal framework be used to protect individuals from potential harm? This discussion will explore the intersection of law and healthcare, examining how legal actions can both highlight injustices and drive systemic change.
Speakers: Mary Hasson (moderator), Shawn Thierry, Erin Friday, and detranstitioner, Soren Aldaco
Safeguarding Youth in the Age of Social Media
Social media lies at the heart of the surge in gender dysphoria in America. Its impact on young people is profound, encouraging them to retreat into their cellphones, and opening them up to social contagion and online grooming. What effective strategies can safeguard minors from harmful content? How can parents and educators work together to combat these risks? Furthermore, what role should policymakers play in regulating social media to protect youth from online predators?
Speakers: Kallie Fell (moderator), Claire Morel, Tiffany Justice, and detransitioner Chloe Cole
Long overdue... Any suggestions how to get our reps and senators to attend? I plan on attending in person for sure. Would love to convince my elected leaders to be there as well.
