Help Bring Detransitioners to Capitol Hill
Supporting Detrans Awareness Day: the single most impactful contribution you can make this year
A Detrans Awareness Day Like No Other
Incoming President, Donald Trump has vowed to outlaw child transition — but there is so much more to do.
Since its inception in 2021, Detrans Awareness Day has played a crucial role in raising international awareness about detransition. Detrans Awareness Day 2025 on Capitol Hill has the potential to significantly alter the landscape of gender medicine, and begin the reckoning with a medical scandal that has adversely affected thousands of Americans.
This March 12th Genspect is bringing detransitioners from around the country to Washington DC to share their stories lawmakers from across the political spectrum and to explain why putting an end to pediatric transition is only the beginning. How did we get here? What has happened to medical ethics? What legal protections, medical and cultural supports could we put into place to prevent further harm? More than testimony, this is a unique opportunity to bring the voices of detranstioners to the forefront. See the full agenda here.
We Need Your Support!
Detransitioners live with the consequences of medical transition every day: complex health complications, Kafkaesque legal questions, the difficulties of existing as masculinized woman or a feminized man. We are working hard to make sure that Detrans Awareness Day 2025 is a landmark event in bringing their voices and concerns into the public consciousness and on to the agenda.
Your tax deductible contribution can help us turn the tide in America — and the world.

Genspect
It would be astonishing if trans rights activists and trans allies didn't show up with the intention of disrupting the event. I hope Genspect is making robust security arrangements.
Also good to film something ahead of time to share without disruption.
